Whitney D. Crawford, heiress to John Deere, and José Velasco Vega, Central Saint Martin’s graduate and former director of design at KiKi de Montparnasse approached Ludique to help create a new brand slated to launch as part of the February 2017 fashion week season. Influenced by Whitney and José’s respective backgrounds and goal to create a line representing the full wardrobe of a woman in touch with an elevated, intelligent and individualistic sensibility, combined with inspiration taken from the vision of the new romantic movement of the 1980’s, Ludique created FAWN.

A proper luxury special edition, reflecting the exceptional pillars of The Macallan brand, which speak to a story of the highest expression of integrity, quality, and of course, luxury. This special edition expresses true luxury from start to finish, whether through the exclusive identity design or a Lalique crystal bottle, or the scotch itself.

Designed for and implemented exclusively for The Macallan M special edition, the identity’s letter forms are based on traditional woodcut typography selected specifically to reflect a true spirit of heritage, tradition, quality and craftsmanship. This traditional style of typography was then customized to evoke the deep history and timeless luxury of the brand.

About ONE: SONS & DAUGHTERS by EDWARD MAPPLETHORPE

Looking to create a definitive volume for his life's work – a portraiture series capturing the purity of individuality as expressed through sons and daughters in their first year – Edward Mapplethorpe approached Ludique to partner with him on the design of the book, "One: Sons & Daughters."

With a poetic forward by Patti Smith, a special launch at Bergdorf Goodman, coverage in the New York Times and more, "One," is truly a triumphant celebration of life.

Steinway was looking to create an elegant solution to communicate the unique and inspired Steinway brand tradition of bespoke craftsmanship.Ludique created a celebration in print – 1 in 100,000. The limited edition book celebrates the brand's bespoke piano creation – as elegant and elaborate in it’s concept as in it’s execution, and as bespoke as the piano itself.
